Before the harvest
Request the cultivation location, botanical identity and planned harvest window. Confirm whether material is cultivated or wild collected and ask for the relevant permissions and records. A beautiful field photograph cannot establish traceability.
The distillation step

From field to sample
Our suggested batch record includes harvest date, plant parts, fresh or dried material, distillation date, batch code and storage instructions. For a visit, confirm separately whether distillation will be running. For a purchase, compare a representative sample with the documentation for the delivered lot.
